“ Great service (I don't even order, they just bring me my usual) and plenty to keep you entertained. But keep in mind it's a super dive. If you don't like smoke or dark atmosphere, it's not your kind of place. I go to unwind, have huge nearly-frozen mugs of delicious, but cheap beer, and listen to my favorite tunes on the jukebox. For that, Rooney's is perfect. ”

“ I happened to stumble across this bar while exploring Gulfport as I will be moving here in a few months from time of writing. Was immediately warmly greeted by Sean (Shawn?) One of the owners. I stayed for a few hours and several folks that were clearly regulars stopped by during that time. Sean introduced me to everyone and made me feel welcome and like part of a family there. We had great conversation and he even bought me a beer when I was closing out my tab. I'll 100% be back when I move here. ”

We went in the afternoon right after it opened & it was slow, but we liked it that way. Good selection of beer, pleasant atmosphere, pool tables, & our bartender was warm & genuine. Wish I would have gotten her name. Excellent service. We will be back next time we are in Gulfport. ”
